To say that America is "new land" in compared to other developed areas of the world would show just how ignorant we are of Native American history. This land we've grown to love and now claim as our own was anything but new and undeveloped when Europeans first discovered its existence.
     Whether they came by land or sea, the native people created a rich culture that extended from the Alaskan tundra to tropical Chile.Today they live on small land areas called reservations, governed by local leaders.
